Producer | Director of Photography

I worked as both producer and videographer for VICE, sourcing authentic stories from the Hong Kong unrest in 2019. I was on the frontline covering pivotal moments, from the storming of Hong Kong's parliament, to the siege of the universities, to the elections in November which led to an unprecedented sweep of pro-democracy candidates.

In “Hong Kong Strikes”, we followed a prison guard to the city’s first general strike, where he explained to us the proper use of teargas. We also explored the new "be water" tactic that protesters were adopting. The piece was nominated for an Emmy in 2020.
